Jan-Pieter Lips, Managing Director of Nectar, will present ‘Ten Lessons in Loyalty' at the conference on Monday 5th November, 12pm in the exhibition area. To register for free for the presentation, follow this link and register your place at the Loyalty World Expo & Seminar Theatre.

The past decade has seen the Nectar programme grow from a small start-up to an integral part of UK consumer life. With 18.5 million collectors, Nectar has relationships with over 60% of UK households and 24 Nectar cards are swiped every second. To celebrate Nectar's 10th anniversary, parent company Aimia, has taken a comprehensive look at the Nectar programme from its very beginnings in 2002, to the nationally renowned brand it is today.

At Loyalty World UK this year, Jan Pieter-Lips, Managing Director at Nectar, will share his learning from ten years of the programme, talking about the challenges and the opportunities that have presented themselves over the past decade. Appropriately, this coincides with the tenth Loyalty World Conference – a clear opportunity for loyalty management company Aimia to explore the changing loyalty landscape over the past ten years.

The premise for Jan-Pieter's presentation is his upcoming white paper, "Ten Lessons in Loyalty: Reflections on the Tenth Anniversary of Nectar" which looks at the key attributes of a successful loyalty programme, such as knowing your brand inside out, earning the trust of customers, and growing relationships with programme partners. The paper provides an honest account of Nectar's ten year history, exploring the challenges and pit falls the programme has faced along the way from technical issues through to the loss of partners. The paper also explores how the Nectar programme has been adapted and refreshed in an ever-changing loyalty marketing environment.

A successful programme deserves recognition, but Jan Pieter's ambition in writing this paper was not just to celebrate Nectar's success, but also to intellectually evaluate what it is that sets the programme apart. Aimia Logo (k)
