3. Make it Relevant
If your aiming to reach out to people who prefer to shop in-store and you’ve got a relevant hashtag, don’t use the same one to promote an offer for money off online.
It sounds like common sense, and it really is, but you’d be surprised. It’s human nature to cut corners, so if one hashtag worked for one campaign, why not for another – especially if they’re closely related?
However, the internet is a fickle being and if you do something like that, you’re more than likely to alienate customers and lose followers.
