Twitter, as I’m sure you’re aware, is a very big social network that millions around the world use.

It’s been growing year on year since its launch and since 2010 it’s had an exponential growth.

However, were you aware that 78 per cent of Twitter users are actually outside of the US?

Mashable has drawn together the information along with Statista and the results are surprising.

Since 2010 Twitter’s international user base has grown over 745 per cent, while in the US it’s only risen by 390 per cent.

Naturally this means that if you’re planning on advertising on Twitter, you’re better off reaching a global audience or an audience outside of the US if you want to gain Twitter traction.

However, the way that Twitter works, you might as well offer a global product or advert so that everyone can share and enjoy your advert easily.

Remember, it’s always worth keeping in mind these five hashtag tips to ensure you’re delivering the most relevant tweets.
